And Away I Go!

Just a wee note to say I will be away from the computer for ten days or so starting early tomorrow morning.  I am off to the 3rd Annual Crazy Quilting International Retreat in Colorado.  This year it is being held in Estes Park which looks like another beautiful scenic location.  When I get back I will have lots of photos and stories to share!
In the meantime, I have posts scheduled - including a contest which will start on Tuesday morning!  I likely won't be moderating the comments until my return but don't worry if your comment doesn't appear right away - I will be approving them when I return and hope you will continue to leave them for me while I'm away.  What can I say? - Your comments make me feel loved!  lol
I am very excited about the retreat - it is an opportunity to meet in person the folks I talk with online every day  and who share my passion for crazy quilting!  We all share and learn so much from each other and this is intensified at the retreat!  Last year I was able to learn to emboss velvet, take a button painting class from Gerry, dye lace, and so much more! 
Now, since I have yet to pack for the retreat, I had better get a move on!  Stay well and see you when I get back!  Hugs!

The box itself is fairly small, 8 inchs X 6 inchs and 4 inches high (20 cm X 15 cm and 10 cm high).  From my research it is of Asian origin. Inside the sewing box is lined with hand-painted silk.  The inside of the lid features a neat little needlebook. Giveaway!

I am feeling like celebrating for various reasons! Firstly, this is my 100th post on my blog and that seems worthy of a little celebration. Secondly, I can now count the days on this year's camping season on my fingers! It has been a busy summer out here at the campground and I am anticipating getting home for a rest - I am so looking forward to hot showers, a real bed, good lighting and my comfy stitching chair! 400 Post Giveaway

Well, gotta love those nice round numbers like 400! It is always a good excuse to celebrate by having a little giveaway. Every year I anticipate the publication of Just CrossStitch's Christmas Ornament issue. I start watching the newsstands about September and worry I won't manage to find a copy before they are sold out. This little obsession of mine probably explains how I managed to buy two copies!
