Giveaway Winner!

First of all, thank you to everyone who visited my blog and Leslie's and my shop during the giveaway!  It was exciting to have so many visitors to my blog and to get so much feedback on our shop.  With the help of a Random Number Generator, I have the winner so without further ado - it is Katie!  Thank you so much Katie for entering and I will get this off in the mail to you as soon as you send me your mailing information.  I have sent you an email so keep an eye open for it in your inbox or spam folder!

What a giveaway Sew Momma Sew ran this time!  Is it just me or does it get bigger every time?  I was determined to visit each and every blog and I did.  I did not leave entries in all of them but I did visit and have a look around.  It is incredible how much talent there is out there!  I have added a lot to my favourites and will be going back at leisure to read more.  I think I will wait a day or two though - I have seen so many photos and ideas the last few days I am definitely on sensory overload!  lol

Thank you to Sew Momma Sew for organizing and running this great event - it was a huge amount of fun!

I am very happy to be joining in the Giveaway Day through Sew, Momma, Sew .  I have chosen to share one of my finds from a shopping trip, or treasure hunts as I think of them.  This is an antique sewing box -  I could not resist it when I saw it for sale!  Were you able to guess the item from the sneak peek earlier in the week? The box itself is fairly small, 8 inchs X 6 inchs and 4 inches high (20 cm X 15 cm and 10 cm high).  From my research it is of Asian origin. Inside the sewing box is lined with hand-painted silk.  The inside of the lid features a neat little needlebook. Giveaway!

I am feeling like celebrating for various reasons! Firstly, this is my 100th post on my blog and that seems worthy of a little celebration. Secondly, I can now count the days on this year's camping season on my fingers! It has been a busy summer out here at the campground and I am anticipating getting home for a rest - I am so looking forward to hot showers, a real bed, good lighting and my comfy stitching chair! So, I have decided to celebrate with a giveaway! I think these are great fun and have put my name down for several and even won once so it feels like time to be on the hosting end for a change. 400 Post Giveaway

Well, gotta love those nice round numbers like 400! It is always a good excuse to celebrate by having a little giveaway. Every year I anticipate the publication of Just CrossStitch's Christmas Ornament issue. I start watching the newsstands about September and worry I won't manage to find a copy before they are sold out. This little obsession of mine probably explains how I managed to buy two copies! So, I would like to share one with my readers. If you aren't familiar with this magazine - it really is a "keeper"! Seventy-five designers have each provided a Christmas ornament with instructions.
