Hoar Frost

You know those mornings when you look out and the whole world looks like a Christmas card?  We`ve been having a few foggy days lately and so the hoar frost has been spectacular.  It doesn`t show up too well but had to take some pictures anyway.

It sometimes makes you wonder how the tiny shrubs can hold all that frost.  So pretty!

I've often wonder what a 'hoar frost' was! I've seen the term in books but it's not a common saying around here. It is pretty but oohh the cold! Brrrr....

Wow, as we live in the dessert Hoar frost is usually not here. One year we had it for weeks. It is the most amazing site you ever see. I was about 9. My mom got the most amazing pictures of it. It is a wonder how all the little stuff like you said can hold so much of it on it without making it fall over.
