My camera seems to be filled with pictures of this guy these days so I thought I would post a couple. This is dd, Katie, and her new best friend, Duke. Duke is just a puppy still, only six months old, but he already weighs about 50 pounds! He is a Bloodhound and has captured our hearts completely. This is the first opportunity I have had to get to know a Bloodhound - what a wonderful breed! He has such a gentle disposition! And those eyes! They seem to convey one of two messages at any given time - either infinite wisdom and patience or "I didn't do it!" He is teething right now so chances are whatever it is we find chewed.... he DID do it! lol

This is an antique sewing box - I could not resist it when I saw it for sale! Were you able to guess the item from the sneak peek earlier in the week? The box itself is fairly small, 8 inchs X 6 inchs and 4 inches high (20 cm X 15 cm and 10 cm high). From my research it is of Asian origin. Inside the sewing box is lined with hand-painted silk. The inside of the lid features a neat little needlebook. In the bottom of the sewing box there are more beautiful hand-painted blossoms and an attached pincushion.
