A little while ago I posted about the potholder I had made for a swap on Mailblocks Yahoo group - my link to "sane quilting". Well, this is the potholder I received in return from Ramona. I love it! Chenille is a technique that intrigues me so having a sample of it is wonderful. This potholder will not be in use until dd leaves home - she tends to set fire to tea towels, potholders, oven mitts, etc. lol. It is so nice to take part in a no pressure, fun swap like this!
So, here it is... finished! Once again, this was a workshop taught by Kim Beamish. I love her projects- they are such fun stitches. Managed to frame this one myself with a thrift store frame complete with matts that I repurposed and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I will be stitching this again because I messed up several times and want to do it again and get it right. Even with the mistakes I made though - I love it!
